Dr. Bethany’s Favorite Oral Sensory and Teething Toys

Here is my list of recommended oral sensory toys and teethers I have personally used as well for my children. I would choose 2-3 different ones to see what your baby would like.  Overtime, want these to toys to help encourage tongue movement and start building up their jaw muscles for chewing as they get older which also helps stimulate eruption of their baby teeth.  Also, when your baby starts teething, chewing on these toys will help alleviate some of the discomfort they may experience.

There are so many other great oral sensory toys and teethers, so here are some recommendations in finding others:

  • Large enough to not be a choking hazard

  • Safe materials for oral use

  • Small enough for baby to explore the front, middle, and back of their mouth safely

Oball Classic Easy-Grasp Toy

My FAVORITE for those little babies after a release. You can just hold it up to their mouth and allow their tongue to explore. It will get that tongue moving like we want it to after a tongue tie release!
